In acceptable condition. Maroon cloth boards stamped in black on front and gilt on spine. Nicking and fraying to cloth at corner tips and top and bottom of spine; moderate overall scuffing and soiling, corner wear, and scattered surface marks. Front free endpaper detached but present; front pastedown contains handwritten notes in pen. Hinges cracked with exposed mull, but text block remains attached. Interior pages are toned but otherwise unmarked. A solid reading copy. Includes plates illustrating forms, curves, stability calculations, hydrostatic diagrams, and structural problems, along with tables such as a large folding displacement sheet. Issued as part of Collins Advanced Science Series.
