Condition & notes

In Good condition, no dust jacket. Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt lettering on spine, with mild to moderate shelf and edge wear; nicking and fraying to the cloth at the corner tips and at head and foot of spine, and some color loss along edges and spine. Spine slightly shaken, cracked along the front hinge but otherwise sound. Previous owner's name whited out on front pastedown and title page; a small ownership name at the top of the general index (page 194); pages otherwise unmarked with mild toning, heavier toning and some foxing to endpapers and title page.Andrew McQueen's companion to his Clyde River-Steamers of the Last Fifty Years, gathering twenty-one sketches on the early history of the Clyde passenger steamers, from pre-Comet times through the record-makers of the 1860s.
