In Very Good condition with a Very Good dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards with gold lettering on the spine; mild edge wear to covers; binding tight; pages clean and unmarked. Pictorial dust jacket with photographic illustration of an Army Air Forces trainer aircraft and Texas hill country on the front and a WWII bomber in flight on the back; a one-inch tear to the paper over the top edge of the front cover near the spine and a few other smaller nicks; light bumping to the jacket edges; mild shelf wear with a bit of fading to the spine. Through the remainder of World War II the quiet farming community of Hondo grew from 2,500 to 10,000 in population.
