In Very Good condition with a Good dust jacket. Maroon cloth boards, gold lettering on spine. Minor edge wear to covers, binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Pictorial dust jacket shows a 1 inch closed tear to the paper over the top edge of the front cover near the spine, a few small nicks and tears, creasing to edges, mild fading to spine, and color loss along the upper edge of the spine. Now in an archival quality (removable) Brodart cover.Autobiographical account by the renowned plantsman and National Trust gardens consultant of the three gardens he made and tended over a lifetime (a Cambridge garden, Oak Cottage, and Briar Cottage), with detailed notes on their design, planting, and upkeep.
