Condition & notes

In Good condition. Pictorial front panel with children holding glass fishing floats at Cape Kiwanda. Toning throughout, mild shelf wear. Folds intact. Small red ink X marks on the county map at nos. 10 (cheese factory) and 11 (Pioneer Museum). Otherwise unmarked. One side unfolds to a county map compiled by the Tillamook County Assessor's Office by order of the County Court, keyed to 37 parks, campgrounds, waysides and boat launches from Oswald West State Park to Neskowin, with the Tillamook Burn marked as the Reforestation Project three years before it was designated Tillamook State Forest in 1973. The other side has photographs of salmon fishing, a log truck, skin divers, the Garibaldi boat basin, golf at Neah-Kah-Nie, and the Pacific City dory derby, with text on the 311,000-acre Burn, the Navy blimp hangars ("largest wooden structures in the world"), the Pioneer Museum, the Tillamook County Creamery, and clamming and crabbing limits "at the time of this printing (Mar. 1970)." WorldCat records an earlier issue dated [1959?]; this March 1970 printing has a redesigned front panel.
