in Very Good condition. Clean, folds intact, reservation request form blank. Unmarked. Two pieces of Mammoth Lakes travel ephemera from 1967 and 1971. The Forest Service leaflet keys 17 numbered posts on the 15-minute walk at Minaret Vista, the overlook at Minaret Summit (9,265 ft): volcanic rock and pumice, red fir and whitebark pine, the Glass and White Mountains, the bristlecone forest, and the Ritter Range in the Minarets Wilderness, the name the area kept until it was enlarged and renamed the Ansel Adams Wilderness in 1984. Visitors not keeping the leaflet were asked to return it to the box at the trailhead sign. The Alpine Lodge brochure lists 87 units, from $12 deluxe rooms and $20 housekeeping cottages to $40 apartments with fireplaces, a hot Jacuzzi pool and sauna baths, with a mail-in reservation request; photographs show trail riders, a mountain lake, and ski gondola cars.
