In Very Good condition. Music dealer's blue stamp (Patti Music Corporation) at foot of front cover. Mild shelf and edge wear with some creasing to corners. Staple bound, binding tight. Music clean and unmarked, with no performance annotations. Fifteen English sixteenth-century dances and songs arranged for one or two descant and treble recorders (or violins) with guitar accompaniment, a school ensemble edition. Ten of the settings are transcribed from keyboard pieces in the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book, including three by William Byrd and Giles Farnaby's Fayne would I wedd; the collection closes with Thomas Morley's It was a lover and his lass, the song from As You Like It, printed with its words. Connor's introduction gives directions for playing and for balancing recorder and guitar. The Pavan is reprinted from the Schott Archive of Recorder Consorts.
