Wraps, title page and 7 pp. of instructions with black-and-white diagrams, plus 3 full-length sheets (30 x 42 cm, folded to 6 leaves) of glossy color-printed card stock; 30 cm; First Edition; model devised and produced by Colin Twinn; printed and bound by William Clowes, Beccles.

Condition & notes

In Very Good condition. Glossy red pictorial covers (photograph of the assembled model on front) with light bumping to edges and mild shelf wear. Staple bound, staples intact. All card sheets present, bound in, and uncut; pages clean and unmarked, light toning to the final leaf. Cut-out model of the tailor's shop from Potter's 1903 tale, one of Warne's 1980s line of Peter Rabbit activity books (Pop-Up Books, Cut-Out Book, Peter Rabbit Theatre) listed on the final page. The colour-printed card sheets make up a two-storey house with snow-capped chimneys and leaded windows, the ground-floor shop with its flagstone floor and cutting table, the kitchen with dresser, china, and fireside chair, plus the tailor, his cat Simpkin, and the mouse tailor reading The Tailor and Cutter on his cotton reel. Instructions direct the maker to open the staples and remove the card pages before cutting, so complete, unbuilt copies with the sheets still bound in are the exception. Rear cover carries the publisher's description and the UK, NZ, Canadian, and US prices.
