In Very Good condition. Illustrated paper covers show light bumping and creasing to edges and corners with mild shelf wear. Cover painting of an oak leaf by Kurt Tegtmeier, signed and dated 93. Binding tight. Interior unmarked. Catalogue of the annual exhibition of Koloristerne, held 7 to 22 January 1995 at Den Frie Udstillings Bygning in Copenhagen. Founded in 1932 alongside Corner and Hostudstillingen as a reaction against the modernism of the 1920s, Koloristerne is among the oldest of the Danish artists' associations and stood for a sensuous, colour-driven handling of the motif. Nanna Hertoft was chairman; the catalogue was edited by Soren Hansen and Herman Stilling, with decorative title lettering by Peter Hentze. Guest exhibitors: Poul Petersen and Wojciech Jaskolka. Ole Heerup (1934-2016), son of Henry Heerup and a member from 1974, had taken the Eckersberg Medal in 1989. Includes an essay by Helmer Jorgensen on Eli Benveniste, the association's newest member, and first-person pieces by Soren Hansen on making glass work at the Scan-Glas factory at Korsor and by Inge Lise Westman. Illustrated biographies give each artist's training, exhibitions, museum representation and awards. The closing Katalog section provides a dated price and provenance record for the thirty-one exhibiting artists, listing 165 works with titles, media, measurements and 1995 asking prices in kroner, from 700 kr for an etching to 175,000 kr for a Hugo Arne Buch oil. Rosters of the association's passive members and of the Danish corporate art societies (Carlsberg, Tuborg, IBM, Philips, Royal Copenhagen, 3M and many others) that supported it close the volume.
