Catalogue published for the exhibition "Christian Vincent: New Paintings" at Forum Gallery, Los Angeles, April 5 to May 4, 2002. A native of Santa Monica (born 1966) and a graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Vincent is a contemporary figurative painter in the American realist vein, working in a rich, dark palette with chiaroscuro that recalls the Old Masters. The dozen oils reproduced here include "Reflection," "Bump in the Night," and "Picnic." Includes the artist's biography, exhibition history, and bibliography.
