In Very Good condition. Pictorial paper covers, with a color photograph of an Anna's Hummingbird inset on the front. Mild surface wear. Binding is tight. Interior pages are clean. Otherwise unmarked.Self-published reference covering the species of hummingbird (family Trochilidae) of the Western Hemisphere, with each species presented by number and arranged alphabetically by English common name from Allen (Selasphorus sasin) at #1 through Xantus's Hummingbird at the close, listing scientific name, year and naturalist of first description, and habitat range alongside an identification photograph or Gould plate. Endangered species are flagged, "Early Found" notations mark the historically earliest-described species, and ten species for which no image could be located are noted in the data without picture. Compiled by Frank C.
