Bellamy, a Running Springs resident since 1953, assembled over 500 vintage photographs (some dating to 1869) documenting the San Bernardino Mountains communities of Running Springs, Arrowbear Lake, and Green Valley Lake. Covers the region's nineteenth-century Mormon lumbering operations, the Brookings family's narrow-gauge railroad and Shay locomotives, the Fredalba and Smiley Park tourist resorts, and early twentieth-century community development. Many photos from the John E.
