In Good condition. Single folded sheet with mild shelf wear, small nicks and creases at edges and corners, some rubbing and pale surface scuffs to front cover, and toning to rear cover. Faint pencil marks at upper right corner and left margin of front cover. Music clean and unmarked, with no performance annotations. Jan Garber and his Orchestra cover for Cliff Friend and Charlie Tobias's 1943 ballad, best known in Lawrence Welk's recording with Wayne Marsh (Decca 4434), which reached No. 2 on the US charts in spring 1944. Advanced Music issued the song with a run of inset photographs of different bandleaders and singers, among them Joan Brooks, Ray Heatherton, Sammy Kaye and Del Courtney; this is the Jan Garber cover. Garber led one of the most popular sweet dance bands of the 1930s and 1940s. Piano and vocal with guitar diagrams and symbols for ukulele and banjo. Gutter advertisement for the "Frank Sinatra's Hits on Parade" folio (As Time Goes By, I Cover the Waterfront, Three Little Words and others); rear cover lists Advanced Music's "Favorite Songs of Today and Yesterday" at 50 cents each.
