In Good condition. Illustrated paper covers, staple bound, with mild to moderate shelf and edge wear, light bumping to corners, toning, and scattered spotting and soiling. Staples sound. Interior pages toned with scattered foxing and light soiling, heavier at margins; otherwise unmarked. A round-the-world tour by ocean liner and airliner for young readers, translated from an unidentified English original. Captioned illustrations include the Queen Elizabeth in New York, the Empress of Scotland at Quebec, a BOAC Stratocruiser over South America, a Constellation arriving at Cape Town, a Tasman Empire flying boat at Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Orient liner Orcades passing the Isle of Wight with a Princess flying boat overhead, a Blackburn Beverley over India, the Italian liner Augustus at Naples, and a Royal Navy carrier off Gibraltar; a Trans-Canada Air Lines airliner on the front cover. Two Dutch issues are recorded: this one, and a "toverboek" issue with a rotating disc set into the front cover where this copy carries a printed medallion. No publisher, date, or illustrator credit; "Gedrukt in Nederland" on the final page. Dated from the pre-1955 spelling and the aircraft depicted (Princess first flown 1952, Beverley in service 1956).
