In Very Good condition. Glossy pictorial paper covers, sliced red double bass and bow against a textured gold ground, title in gold capitals. Light bumping and creasing to edges, mild shelf wear, some sticker residue at foot of front cover near spine. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Exhibition ran 18 June to 10 September 1995 at the Musee Royal de Mariemont and the kitchen garden of the provincial horticultural school at Mariemont-Chapelle. Arman (Armand Pierre Fernandez, Nice 1928 to New York 2005) co-founded Nouveau Realisme in 1960 with Tinguely and Spoerri, working from accumulated, sliced, burned and smashed objects. Musical instruments dominate the selection: a burned violin of 1964, a smashed piano, a tower of fiddles, two bronze Hommages a Yves Klein. Also reproduced is Poubelle de Warhol of 1975. Texts run to 27 pages: Pierre-Jean Foulon on contemporary art and museums, Michel Delwart on the horticultural school, and a biography by Olivier Meessen. Chronology of solo exhibitions from 1956 at rear.
