In Good condition. Pale green textured paper covers with a green printed drawing of a weaver at a sectional warp beam; rear cover plain. Toning overall, heaviest along the fore-edge and lower edge, with toning to the paper around the punched holes. Liquid drop mark about 1 cm across near the lower edge of front cover, with a smaller drop at the edge below it. Scattered specks to both covers. Light bumping and creasing to edges and corners. Plastic comb binding bent at head but intact and holding, all leaves secure. Pages mildly toned. Otherwise unmarked. Photographic manual on sectional warping, written from the practice of the McMinnville, Oregon shop that published it. Groff argues the method dresses a loom in a third to half the time a warping board or mill takes, and works through the equipment it needs: sectional warp beam, electric bobbin winder with foot rheostat, tension box, warp measurer, cardboard spools, and a rack holding sixty. Photographs follow the warp through the tensioner, onto the beam, then through the heddles and reed, with worked examples computing yardage per spool and build-up allowance. Rear advertisement for the shop's monthly bulletin Warp and Weft, ten issues a year at $4.50 with a woven sample swatch in each. Robin & Russ moved from California to McMinnville in 1962 and published many of its own titles under Groff, who died in 2010.
