In very good condition with a very good dust jacket. Black cloth boards blocked in gold with a horse's head on front and gold lettering on spine, light rubbing and bumping along edges. Binding tight. Pages crisp, clean and bright, unmarked. Pictorial jacket has a few tiny nicks and light creasing along edges. Now in an archival quality (removable) Brodart cover. Not a record of anything that happened. WeSC, the Swedish streetwear label, invented streethorsing outright to promote its 2006 autumn collection, then produced this book as the movement's fabricated history: 200 pages of night photography by Jens Andersson showing riders taking horses down handrails, off gaps and over parked cars in Los Angeles, New York, Stockholm, Brooklyn, Tokyo and Hong Kong, framed in the visual grammar of skate photography. The apparatus is complete and deadpan, running to rider profiles, reproduced fanzines titled Punk Rider, an in-memoriam page for a horse, a never-released computer game, and a copyright-page disclaimer that no animals came to harm. Jason Lee, Steve Aoki, Jerry Hsu, Mark "The Cobrasnake" Hunter, Stretch Armstrong and Peter Stormare appear as participants. WeSC stated in its own D&AD awards entry that it invented the movement, and the campaign drew magazine coverage worldwide. Awarded a D&AD Wood Pencil for photography in 2007. A deluxe issue in a leather box with a gilt horseshoe went to 500 press contacts; this is the trade hardcover.
