A survey of the work of Edward Sheriff Curtis (1868-1952), whose thirty-year project The North American Indian documented Native peoples across the American West. Sepia duotone plates reproduce his portraits and scenes, accompanied by a biographical essay from Hans Christian Adam and a map of Curtis's principal travel and research routes.
