Condition & notes

In Good condition. A previous owner's ink signature to the front cover, and a one-inch split at the head of the spine fold. Light edge wear; interior clean and unmarked.Franz Liszt's Liebestraum No. 3 recast as a 1930s popular song, arranged for voice and piano with ukulele and guitar chords plus a special Hawaiian guitar solo in notation and tablature (arranged by Bob Kaai), reflecting the wide popularity of the Hawaiian guitar during the period. Calumet issued the edition with one fixed cover illustration, signed in the art with the monogram "NPS," and a rotating inset photograph of a different bandleader on each printing to promote both the song and the orchestra; this copy carries the portrait of musical conductor Harry Kogen (other printings are known with Eddie Duchin, Charles Gaylord, and Shep Fields). Back cover advertises Calumet's cowboy and hillbilly song folios, including Gene Autry and the WLS Barn Dance favorites.
