In Good condition. Pictorial film-tie-in cover with circular portrait photographs of Jack Oakie and Jeanette MacDonald above a still of a castaway on a life raft, with stylized blue waves at left; publisher's design, no illustrator credited. Previous owner's name in ink at top corner of front cover. A few small nicks and short tears with light creasing to the edges. Pages lightly aged with occasional light spotting. Otherwise unmarked. Rear cover prints refrain excerpts from four of the film's songs: "It Seems to Be Spring," "My Mad Moment," "I've Gotta Yen for You," and "Let's Go Native."Lyric by George Marion, Jr., music by Richard A. Whiting. From the 1930 Paramount pre-Code musical comedy "Let's Go Native," directed by Leo McCarey and starring Jack Oakie and Jeanette MacDonald early in her career. Whiting ranked among the most successful film songwriters of the period, with "Beyond the Blue Horizon," "On the Good Ship Lollipop," and "Hooray for Hollywood" to his name, and was the father of singer Margaret Whiting.
