In Very Good condition. Glossy pictorial paper covers show light bumping increasing to edges and corners, and mild shelf wear. Perfect bound, binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Practical shop manual covering the three approaches to making curved wooden parts: milling curves from solid lumber, bent lamination, and steam bending. Schleining works through design and full-size drawing, shop-built forms and jigs, band saw drift and router-table circle cutting, glue selection and clamping sequence for laminations, steam box construction, compression straps, and springback. A closing section combines methods to build a curved raised-panel door. Appendices cover machine safety, a glossary of curved-work terms, and sources of supply. At the time of publication Schleining taught woodworking at Cerritos College in California, had worked as a professional stairbuilder for twenty years, and was a contributing editor to Fine Woodworking.
