Condition & notes

In Very Good condition. Glossy white illustrated card covers (De Grazia figures cooking); light bumping to edges, mild shelf wear, and a quarter-sized circular light stain to top corner near the binding. Plastic comb binding intact and tight; pages clean and unmarked. Recipes by Rita Davenport paired with color illustrations by Ted De Grazia (1909-1982), the Tucson painter UNICEF made "the world's most reproduced artist" when it chose his Los Ninos for its 1960 holiday card. De Grazia artwork appears on every page. The original 1976 Arizona Highways edition, the first, preceding the later Northland reprints from 1982; issued the same year De Grazia famously burned some 100 of his paintings in the Superstition Mountains to protest inheritance tax on artworks. Contents: Appetizers; Dips and Sauces; Main Dishes; Vegetables; Breads; Desserts.
