In Very Good condition. Mustard-colored illustrated paper covers with mild shelf and edge wear, light scuffing, soiling, and some toning to edges and spine. Original retailer's sticker (McCabe's Guitar Shop, Santa Monica) on front cover. Binding tight. Staple-bound pages mildly toned, otherwise unmarked. This copy is the 1962 Hargail Music Press reprint, stated "Reprinted 1962" at the inside front cover. A pocket songbook of Scottish folk songs and ballads selected by Ewan MacColl, the Scottish-born folksinger, dramatist, and Theatre Workshop founder, set with melody lines and guitar chords for singers. Gathers historical ballads and street songs, among them Lord Randall, Sir Patrick Spens, Maggie Lauder, MacPherson's Farewell, Eppie Morrie, and The Barnyards o' Delgaty, drawn from the great collections of Herd, Chambers, Johnson, and Greig and from living traditional singers. Preface by MacColl.
