In Very Good condition. Pictorial paper covers (Colosseum and a marble portrait of Augustus) show light bumping increasing toward the edges and corners, with mild shelf wear. Binding tight, pages clean and unmarked.Exhibition catalogue produced by Contemporanea Progetti of Florence for a touring show of Roman antiquities drawn from Italian regional museums, presented at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Atlanta (September 2006 to January 2007) and the Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston (February to August 2007). A centerpiece of the exhibition, given its own essay here, was the first North American showing of the Imperial Portraits of Pantelleria: three marble heads (Julius Caesar, the emperor Titus, and Antonia Minor) recovered in 2003 from cisterns on the acropolis of the Sicilian island of Pantelleria. The Caesar head corresponds closely to his coin portraits of 44 BC and is counted among the most faithful surviving likenesses of him.
