In Very Good condition with a Good dust jacket. Blue cloth boards, silver lettering on spine, with mild shelf and edge wear. Binding tight. Mild toning to endpapers, otherwise pages unmarked. Jacket has several nicks and tears (one inch or less) and light edge creasing, with mild overall shelf wear, toning, and a hint of soiling. Now in an archival quality (removable) Brodart cover. Carl Condit's standard history of the Chicago School, tracing the development of commercial and public building in the Chicago area from 1875 to 1925, from the structural innovations of William Le Baron Jenney through Burnham and Root, Holabird and Roche, and Adler and Sullivan. Revised and enlarged from the author's "The Rise of the Skyscraper" (1952), illustrated throughout with photographs of the buildings, many since demolished.
