In Good condition. Glossy pictorial covers, the coin photographs printed in green, show light bumping increasing to edges and corners, mild to moderate shelf wear, some toning, scattered spotting along the front cover margin near the fore-edge, and damp staining to the back cover. Binding solid, pages mildly toned but otherwise unmarked. Produced in Athens by Promote International Arts as Greece's official cultural offering to the XIX Olympiad held in Mexico City in 1968. A bilingual Greek and Spanish presentation of Olympia, birthplace and site of the ancient Olympic Games (776 BC to 393 AD), illustrated with photographs of ancient coins, the pediment sculptures of the Temple of Zeus, the metopes of the Labors of Heracles, black-figure and red-figure vase paintings of athletes, and views of the sanctuary and ancient stadium. A register of the ancient Olympiads and their victors is included, and the booklet closes with views of the modern Olympic stadium in Mexico City and the Mexico 68 sport pictograms. The texts incorporate passages from Pindar and Lysias in both languages.
