In very good condition. Glossy black illustrated wraps show light bumping at edges and corners and mild shelf wear. Staple binding is tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Front cover reproduces Frederick Edwin Church's 1852 painting "Natural Bridge, Virginia." Catalogue of the exhibition presented in the duPont Gallery, January 4-29, 1982, surveying a century of images of Virginia's Natural Bridge. Forty-four entries document engravings after Chastellux (1787), aquatints by Roberts and Scott, Edward Hicks's "Peaceable Kingdom of the Branch," paintings by Jacob Ward and Sara Meek, Porte Crayon's 1855 illustrations, Lewis Miller's sketchbook drawings, and Harper's Weekly wood engravings, with catalogue notes by Pamela H.
