In acceptable condition, no dust jacket. Green cloth boards with gilt lettering on front cover and spine; light nicking and fraying to edges, corners, and spine ends; mild shelf wear and scattered spotting to covers. Thin crack at middle of text block but binding still tight. Presentation copy: front free endpaper inscribed in ink "Presented to Rev. J. Roger S. O'Donnell by Jos. Wuest, C.SS.R." (Rev. Joseph Wuest, the book's compiler). Previous owner's ink name and 1931 date on front pastedown. Pages toned with occasional light spotting and soiling, heavier spotting on rear endpapers, otherwise unmarked. A solid copy of an uncommon Maryland Catholic history. Published for the fiftieth anniversary of the Redemptorists' settlement at Annapolis, where the congregation occupied the mansion of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, last surviving Signer of the Declaration of Independence.
