In very good condition. Glossy illustrated paper covers (cover art by J. Marshall Lawson) show mild shelf wear with light bumping to corners and edges. Binding tight. Title page has ink inscription and first-name signature of contributor Jacqueline "Jackie" Miller Jackson, author of "The Insurance Agent's Tale" and widow of James W. Jackson, to whose memory the book is dedicated. Otherwise unmarked. Modeled on Boccaccio's Decameron, a collection of tales by South Carolinians who lived through Hurricane Hugo (September 1989), told in the voices of a doctor, teacher, sea captain, state guardsman, rabbi, priest, and others. Proceeds benefited the Children's Trust Fund of South Carolina.
