In Very Good condition with a Good dust jacket. Orange-brown glossy paper-covered boards, black lettering on front cover and spine, mild shelf wear. Binding tight. Original Charles E. Tuttle Co. bookseller's label on front pastedown; mild toning to endpapers. Otherwise pages clean and unmarked. Illustrated dust jacket (priced $3.25, not price-clipped) has several nicks and short tears (three-quarters to one inch) with light creasing to edges, mild to moderate overall shelf wear, fading to spine, and some color loss along edges and spine. Now in an archival quality (removable) Brodart cover. A practical introduction to the twin Japanese arts of bonkei (miniature tray landscapes built from earth, sand, pebbles, and tiny plants) and bonseki (tray scenes made with stones and sand), written by Soen Yanagisawa and translated by Rokuo Okada for the Japan Travel Bureau's Tourist Library series.
