In Very Good condition. Glossy pictorial paper covers in deep red, with a color reproduction of a Ceres mosaic roundel on the front and Actaeon and Silenus mosaic roundels on the rear. Light bumping and creasing to edges and corners. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. A 24-page exhibition guide to the Corinium Museum in Cirencester (Roman Corinium Dobunnorum, capital of the Dobunni and the second-largest town in Roman Britain), prepared by curator David Viner, B.A., F.S.A., F.M.A. The booklet introduces the museum's collections in chronological order, with sections on Cotswold geology and fossils, Prehistoric Cotswolds, the Roman town of Corinium, Roman mosaics (including the Hunting Dogs, Hare, and Four Seasons pavements), Roman life and entertainment, religion (illustrated with the Pater Noster acrostic stone, the Three Mothers relief, and Genii Cucullati), and the medieval Wealth of Wool that built the surrounding parish churches.
