In Very Good condition. Glossy illustrated paper covers featuring a Booth woodland scene with squirrel on the front and a botanical study of red bell flowers (Lapageria) against a deep maroon ground on the back, mild shelf wear. Binding is tight, pages are clean and unmarked. Catalog dedicated In Memoriam to Alan Clark. Exhibition catalog for "Raymond Booth: Recent Works 1990-2000," held at The Fine Art Society, 148 New Bond Street, London, 6-30 November 2000. The catalog reproduces sixty-plus oil paintings completed during the previous decade by the celebrated Leeds-born botanical and wildlife painter Raymond Booth (1929-2015), with each plate captioned by title, date, and dimensions. The exhibition coincided with the publication of "Raymond Booth: An Artist's Garden." Booth was widely admired for his meticulous, large-scale studies of garden plants (notably his Fritillaria series, peonies, and rhododendrons) as well as woodland and wild settings, often integrating native British birds and small mammals. The catalog includes botanical subjects (Fritillaria kurdica, stenanthera, whittallii, hermanis amana, pallidiflora, eduardii; Lilium pardalinum; Iris spuria, kuschakewiczii, filifolia; Rhododendron metternichii micranthum, microgynum; Tree Paeony "Silver Sails"; Paeonie suffruticosa "Rock's Form"; Paeonie arietina; Cochleanthus hybrid) and woodland and wildlife studies (Young Roe Deer in Adel Woods; The Wild Wood - A Winter Evening; Siskins on a March Morning; Stoat in Winter; Red Squirrel; Kingfisher; On the Rhubarb Patch; On the Woodland Floor in October; Katja Apple and Bullfinch; Gathering in the Wild Harvest; October Evening on Crag Lane; April Painting), among others.
