In Acceptable condition. Original grey printed wraps show moderate shelf wear with bumping and creasing at edges and general toning. A coffee ring has darkened the center of the front cover around the chapter numeral. Prior owner's rubber-stamped name at top left of front cover, "Manter, 1933" inked above the title, accession number "00047" inked at top right, and a "Studies from the Department of Zoology, University of Nebraska" stamp with the numeral "173" to the front cover and again at the foot of page 169. Binding sound (staple bound). Interior pages toned but clean apart from an inked blue circle and small annotation around figure 8 on Plate 3 (Helicometrina nimia from Scorpaena plumieri). A serviceable reading copy of a scholarly preprint with notable institutional provenance.A zoological study by Harold W. Manter of the University of Nebraska on trematode parasites collected in the summers of 1930, 1931, and 1932 at the Carnegie Biological Laboratory at Tortugas, Florida. Manter describes three species of the genus Helicometra (H. execta, H. torta, and H. fasciata), erects a new genus and species (Stenopera equilata), and adds two species of the related genus Helicometrina (including H. nimia and a new species, H. parva). Host identifications were made by W. H. Longley.
