In Very Good condition with a Very Good- dust jacket. Black cloth-covered boards with no lettering on front or spine; minimal edge wear to covers. Binding tight. Inscribed (personalized) by Chase Morsey Jr. on the front free endpaper. Pages clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has a pictorial front panel with an illustration of a Ford chassis at top and a coral-colored Ford Thunderbird convertible below, title in red lettering; three-quarter-inch tear to the paper at the bottom corner of the front cover along the fold of the jacket flap, and a few other small nicks; mild shelf wear. Now in an archival quality (removable) Brodart cover.Scarce hardcover edition of this self-published memoir by a Ford Motor Company executive who played a decisive role in preserving the V-8 engine and shaping some of the company's most important product decisions of the postwar era. When Morsey joined Ford in 1948, Henry Ford II and other industry titans were on the verge of discontinuing the V-8. Morsey's campaign to keep the engine in production directly contributed to its use in the Ford Thunderbird and Mustang. He went on to help launch Ford's NASCAR program, convinced prominent golfers to market Lincolns, and later became chief financial officer of RCA.
