In Good condition with a Good dust jacket. Cream card stock covers with brown lettering to front; light bumping to edges and mild overall shelfwear. Binding tight. Interior pages lightly toned but otherwise unmarked. Dust jacket illustrated with a color reproduction of a Sassone cityscape painting on front; three-inch tear to top edge of rear panel, repaired with clear tape; a few other nicks and tears and creasing to edges; mild overall shelfwear to jacket. [From jacket flap] This catalogue has been published to accompany the Premier Exhibition of Marco Sassone's work at Bernheim-Jeune, Paris from April 13 to May 4, 1988. One of the foremost colorists working in America today, Sassone is an artist who developed his own personal, expressive vision early in his career, who has steadfastly remained faithful to it while refining and developing it to the full power and mastery that is seen in his works today. These works are rich in coloration and filled with radiant, vibratory light. He is a gestural painter, an artist who becomes totally absorbed in the act of painting. The result is work that is fully expressive, evocative, and sometimes haunting in its beauty.
