Grey photographic covers with an installation view of Dill's Sister Gertrude Morgan dress sculpture on front cover; mild bumping to edges and corners; minor scuffing to covers. Binding is solid. Interior pages are clean and unmarked; color reproductions are vibrant throughout. Exhibition catalog accompanying the touring exhibition organized by the Whatcom Museum, Bellingham, Washington (October 22, 2011 to March 5, 2013) and the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, College of Charleston (January 25 to March 8, 2013). Focuses on two bodies of the artist's work: the metallic wire and horsehair sculptures of Shimmer, and the drawing-and-textile installation Encountering Sister Gertrude Morgan, which interprets the life of the New Orleans missionary and folk artist. Dill's mixed-media artworks fuse poetry, text, and symbolic imagery, drawing on the writings of Emily Dickinson, Salvador Espriu, Tom Sleigh, and Franz Kafka.
