Grey paper covers with black lettering and red lines on front cover; covers have a few small nicks and bumping and creasing to edges and corners; mild to moderate overall shelf wear with some soiling, staining and toning. Binding is solid. Several pages remain uncut (still attached along the top edge and fore-edge). Three-page typed outline in English stapled to inside front cover. Interior pages are toned but otherwise unmarked. Printed in Switzerland. An academic study of gesture as a form of expression and its relationship to speech, with examples drawn from French literature between 1900 and 1945. Edited under the series Romanica Helvetica by J.
