A historical study of the short-lived mining boomtown of Rhyolite, Nevada, one of the most prominent towns of the Bullfrog mining district in the early twentieth century. Examines the rapid rise of Rhyolite following major gold discoveries in 1904-1905, its development from tent camps to a fully platted city with banks, newspapers, hotels, schools, an opera house, and substantial masonry commercial buildings, and its equally rapid decline after 1910.
