In very good condition. Pictorial paper covers with black and white image of the Stamp Mill on front; Covers show light shelf wear with minor scuffing, soiling and toning. Bnding is tight; interior pages unmarked with light age toning throughout. A technical history of the stamp mill and its role in recovering gold from hard-rock quartz veins in California, covering the evolution from primitive Cornish stamps to the large-scale California stamp mills that processed ore across the Mother Lode.
