In acceptable condition. No dust jacket. Original green cloth boards with small pictorial paper onlay on front cover. Cloth spine split along the rear hinge and attached only at the right hinge; cloth chipped and frayed at corners and at head and tail of spine. Covers show moderate overall toning, spotting, and surface soiling. Binding intact but shaken. Previous owner's name and date (December, 1943) in ink on front free endpaper. Interior pages lightly toned with occasional spotting; otherwise unmarked. Brief biographies of nineteen notable racehorses and one distinguished U.S. Army horse, written and illustrated by C. W.
