Condition & notes

In good condition. Illustrated paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light to moderate rubbing and edgewear; small surface scuffs and light handling soil. Binding tight (staple bound). Interior pages clean and unmarked aside from mild age toning near margins. Pages 9-10 have some creasing. An illustrated field guide to 222 species recorded within Yosemite National Park, adapted from the authors' work in Yosemite Nature Notes. Includes detailed bird descriptions keyed to the 1957 A.O.U. Checklist of North American Birds, notes on distribution within Yosemite, seasonal status codes, habitat information, and a visual identification guide to raptors in flight. Appendices cover family characteristics of birds and a key to the Yosemite birds. Illustrated throughout with line drawings by Robert C. Stebbins, including the cover watercolor of a male Western Tanager.
