In good condition. Red pictorial card stock covers with oval photographic inset; light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light overall scuffing and soiling. Binding intact. Interior pages clean and unmarked aside from the author signature. Illustrated throughout with historical photographs sourced from the Nick Morgan Collection, Dorothy Morgan Collection, and others, documenting shipyards, Coast Guard stations, logging operations, dune ecology, early settlements, and community life on the North Peninsula of Humboldt Bay. A detailed local history of the North Peninsula communities of Samoa, Fairhaven, and Manila, written by third generation North Coast resident Evelyn McCormick.
