In good condition. Glossy pictorial paper covers with turquoise background and color reproduction of Ray Swanson's painting "Hosteen Begay" on front cover. Nicking and chipping and insect damage to edges of covers; light to moderate overall scuffing, toning and soiling to covers as well. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Exhibition-style dealer catalog subtitled "The World's Most Exclusive Catalog Christmas 1981," issued by Arrowsmith's of Prescott, Arizona. Contents are divided into three main sections: North American Indian Art; Fine Art; and Items From Around the World. Includes a wide variety of objects with detailed descriptions, illustrations, and original sale prices, ranging from Navajo and Hopi works to fine art paintings, jewelry, and ethnographic artifacts. Arrowsmith's was a family-run gallery founded by Rex Arrowsmith (1925-2017), a Santa Fe dealer renowned for his expertise in Native American and Western art. By the early 1980s his son, Murray R. Arrowsmith, had taken on responsibility for editing and publishing the firm's catalogs, which combined Indian art, fine art, and ethnographic objects with detailed descriptions and prices.
