Condition & notes

In very good condition. Cream colored paper covers with printed titles and color illustration to front. Covers show light toning and mild edgewear, scuffing and soiling. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. Not ex-library. Exhibition catalog for a show of works by Dorothy Dell Dennison (1908-1994), held at Kennedy Galleries, New York, from May 8 to June 1, 1968. Includes checklist of 28 works exhibited, with paintings primarily in oil. Text essay by Clyde Singer. Dorothy Dell Dennison was an American painter known for her precise still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. A graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, she won the prestigious Cresson Traveling Scholarship and exhibited widely at institutions including the Pennsylvania Academy Annual, the Corcoran Biennial, and the Butler Institute of American Art. Her work is represented in several museum collections, including the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
