Condition & notes

In acceptable condition with chips and tears to the title page and moderate overall aging and spotting to title pages as well. Plates are in very good condition. A solid copy, but for the missing covers. Compiled by Wm. H. Crane and published exclusively for The Inter-State Company of Denver for sale aboard the Denver & Rio Grande-Western Pacific railroads, this volume was designed to showcase the Rocky Mountains as seen along the "Scenic Line of the World." With vivid quadri-color engraved views from photographs taken in the early 20th century, the volume includes scenes of Denver, Castle Rock, Pike's Peak, the Royal Gorge, and other landmarks. A key example of railroad promotional ephemera, issued with string binding and typically in decorative wrappers now absent from this copy.
