This edition is part of a scholarly series issued by the Rijksmuseum Meermanno-Westreenianum (Museum van het Boek) in The Hague, presenting one of the most significant illuminated vernacular biblical manuscripts in Dutch cultural history. Illustrated with reproductions of the manuscript's miniatures, marginalia, and text pages, some in full color, including folios of the Tower of Babel (fol. 95v) and other biblical scenes. The editor, R. E. O. Ekkart, provides a detailed introduction and scholarly commentary contextualizing the manuscript's artistry, script, iconography, and cultural relevance.
