Description

The Miniad Company of California [Published Date: no date listed, circa 1937-1940]. Tri-fold vintage auto map brochure measuring approx. 12x9 inches unfolded. The folding format is offset so that the first fold brings the top panel down to only about three-quarters of the way to the bottom, followed by three vertical folds to complete the folds. The final folded version measures 3 x 5.35".

Condition & notes

In good condition with a 4" slit along the first vertical fold and a 2" slit along the left side of the horizontal fold. Light overall aging and some scuffing and rubbing along the folds. "Published quarterly for the convenience of the traveling public by The Miniad Company of California". Black and white illustrations with silver accents on front panel. Cover illustration depicting the Oakland skyline with sailboats, signed "Mueller." Features a California highway map, a regional inset map of Oakland and Berkeley, sightseeing recommendations, and promotional advertisements for area hotels and recreational destinations. Includes driving distances to major cities and highlights attractions such as Mt. Diablo, Lake Merritt, Santa Cruz, and Skyline Boulevard.
