In very good condition. Illustrated paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light overall scuffing. Binding tight. Light soiling to title page. Otherwise pages are clean and unmarked. [From back cover] Dane Pizzuti Krogman was educated in the fine arts at the University of Minnesota, receiving BFA and MFA degrees. In 2002 he won the Grand Prize for the best graphic novel at the Hiroshima manga competition. His graphic novel Skeleton Boy was selected for inclusion in the Hiroshima peace memorial library in 2007. As a Civil War historian, he has worked as a technical advisor for the films, Dances with Wolves, Gettysburg, and Glory. This is his first book in a continuing series ol the history of the Simmons family and their struggles as settlers in the Midwest beginning with the Civil and Indian wars from 1861-65 and culminating with the massacre at Wounded Knee in 1890.
