In very good condition. Glossy illustrated paper covers with French flaps. Light bumping to edges of covers and light overall scuffing. Binding tight. Previous owner's gift inscription on top of title page in ink. Otherwise, pages are clean and unmarked. Full color illustrations. [From front flap] In 1987 Sue Coleman was invited to Ketchican, Alaska to display here work. That first trip led to further oportunities to explore the Alaskan coastline, visit the towns and meet the people. Within these pages are paintings inspired by this rugged coast, accompanied with a collection of stories, legends and poems written with a touch of humour. Sue Coleman (b. 1947) is a Wildlife painter from England who moved to Vancouver Island, in Canada in 1967. Coleman is known for her watercolour paintings in which she uses a controversial style mimicking the styles and motifs of Indigenous art. She also paints west-coast scenes, wildlife, and landscapes.
