White illustrated paper covers have a 1.5" slit at the bottom of the spine and light bumping and creasing to edges and corners. light overall scuffing and soiling to covers as well. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. NO remainder marks. [From front cover flap] Xie Zibo. a native of Wen- chang in Hainan Province, came to love painting when he was a child. In his teenage years, he resolved to learn the art of painting and to make a career of it. His early works were selected for display at children's painting exhibitions held in France. Japan and Eastern Europe. Later, he apprenticed himself to Shao Yu, a master sketcher in China. He has achieved high praise ever since. Xie is well versed in sketching and his works have a strong personal style. In 1988, An Album of Xie Zibo's Sketches was published in Hong Kong. A Painting Tour of Wutingyuan, also an album of sketching, was created for the tourism industry.
